Greetings from Canton, Ohio--the Football Hall of Fame City!
Thank you for visiting! Our 2008 Challenger baseball season is well under way!
This year marks our 17th season of organized Challenger play with Holly Hills Little League, Ohio Dist 4. We currently have 8 teams with almost 160 players on our rosters.
For those new to the scene, Challenger is a division of Little League dedicated to the child with any disability. Ages range from 6 years old through high school. Download/view the Little League Challenger baseball program brochure.
And here's the 2008 Challenger Schedule!

The Fashion Show is July 20th at the Bertram Inn and Conference Center in Aurora, OH. The event features an exclusive fashion show from designer Juliette Longuet. The concert portion takes place on July 18th with WKDD's Matt Patrick at the Canton Palace Theater with Kip Winger, Disney's Everlife, Bulletboys, XYZ, Breakline, Oblivion and Drenalin scheduled. What else is coming up?
RECOGNITION NIGHT: All is set for a great night of games and parties at the Joe Gilhousen Field, GlenOak Varsity Baseball Field (2300 Schneider NE, North Canton, behind Oakwood Middle School) on Monday, July 7th at 6:00 p.m. Please be there no later than 5:30pm. Invite your families, friends, neighbors, teachers, friends, etc.--the more the merrier! Jonathan White will be our wonderful emcee for the evening! Always a blast! Don't miss it! (Rain date: July 14th, 6:00pm.) Come and join us again this year as we celebrate the close of our 17th season of Little League Baseball. We will be recognizing our players, coaches and team sponsors, as we play a series of mini-games under the lights at the GlenOak Stadium. Hope to see you there!
OLD TIMER'S GAME: Set for Saturday, July 12th at the Holly Hills Tournament Field at Barr Elementary School. Come and cheer on your favorite coach as the Challenger "Green Machine" (coaches) take on the dreaded Massillon "Old Tigers" in their annual grudge match. First pitch is at 5:00pm and a single 50/50 raffle ticket gets you in! An evening of great food, basket raffles, and some entertaining baseball add up to lots of fun--and is a great fundraiser for our tournament expenses. See our parent reps for more details. GO GREEN MACHINE!
Buying 50/50 Raffle Tickets (1 for $1, 7 for $5, 15 for $10, and 30 for $20) gains you admission to the game (tickets will be sold by Team Parent Reps). The winning 50/50 ticket will be drawn in the bottom of the 7th inning of the game. Hot dogs, hamburgers and other game treats will be for sale at the game at “old timer” prices. There will also be door prizes and various basket raffles at the game that night. All proceeds benefit the Canton Challenger Baseball League
STATE TOURNAMENT: The tournament is fast approaching--July 18-20--a chance to play other Challenger teams from all over the state, right on the campus of Ohio State!! Awesome! Blendon Westerville Challenger League welcomes all of "OH-IO" to this year's tournament featuring state-of-the-art ball fields with all games in one location, and free lunch on Saturday cooked to perfection by BWLL's Chef Casey. We are still looking for tournament sponsors to help offset our expenses for this. If you know of anyone who might be able to help with a donation, please contact Bonnie McClellan (contact info below).

Every player is issued an official Little League uniform and plays on standard Little League fields, using traditional Little League equipment. Some modifications are made to suit each individual player's ability to succeed in the field. And succeed they do!! Register your ballplayer today by filling out and submitting our new 2008 registration form! A new Medical Information and Release form is also available.
