Letter From Our Director

Dear Players, Families and Friends,

Thank you for visiting the Canton Challenger website! We are excited to begin our 2010 baseball season soon! This will mark our 19th season of organized Challenger play with the Holly Hills Little League, Ohio Dist 4. We currently have 8 teams with almost 160 players on our rosters.

For those new to the scene, Challenger is a division of Little League dedicated to the child with any disability. Ages range from 6 through high school. Our families pay a modest fee of $30.00 for the season. Every player is issued an official Little League uniform, plays on standard Little League fields, using traditional Little League equipment. Some modifications are made to suit each individual player's ability to succeed in the field. And succeed they do!!

Lots of activity is coming up for our new season--from "Spring Training" with the Maddogs in March, to Team Picture Night in April, to Opening Day in May, to LOTS of regular season ball games, to our traditional finale, "Recognition Night" in July!

Not to mention, we are well into planning our tournament trip to Maumee this summer for the 2010 Challenger State Tournament. At this, we will have chance to play other Challenger teams from all over the state. It is truly an awesome experience!
