Dear Players, Families and Friends,

Don't let the wind chill and snowdrifts fool you--it's baseball season again (well, almost!).

Now is the time to get our 2008 season planned and organized--and of course, we just can't do it without you.

Don't forget to fill out the new 2008 Registration Form and mail it to me (note my change of address and phone number above).

Spread the word! We are always in need of new players.

There were lots of great times during our regular 2007 season, plus the opportunity to host the state tournament right here in our own backyard. Once again, those mighty Canton Challengers put on a great show at the Little League ball fields in North Canton, Ohio, sending everyone home with smiles on their faces and lots of great memories. It is yet another effort in which we can all take pride. Hats off to our tireless committees, countless volunteers, and many generous sponsors who made it all happen.

Canton can truly boast having THE largest and most active program of Little League Challenger baseball in the state--possibly the country! Be proud!

Mark your calendars: this year the state tournament is scheduled for the weekend of July 18, 19 & 20.

The tournament will be held at the Ohio State University campus in Columbus. This will entail a two-night stay in our state capital, along with new threads and equipment--so we will be raiding our treasury again to take care of this. Fortunately we are in pretty good shape. A large part of our bank balance must be credited to two hardworking gals who put on their own fundraisers for us last summer and fall: Cinde Martin and Jodi Broom. The Rigatoni Dinner and the Night at the Races were a blast! Thank you! Thanks to everyone who helped make these so successful.

So we are off on another adventure--our 2008 baseball season--let's make it the best yet!
